Mutinta and John are at the forefront of a new large-scale Community Health Worker (CHW) programme that began in 2012 as part of Zambia’s broader efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage. In partnership with various global health organisations – including the Clinton Foundation – the Zambian Ministry of Health introduced this programme to train and deploy a new cadre of government CHWs to work in some of the most remote areas of the country.
